V2.0.2 Beta

V2.0.2 Beta has been released. This version fixes a bug where MCPLA would point to the incorrect folder under certain circumstances. A new version with new features is coming in the near future. Thanks for downloading.

The Beta versions of this application have been found to be mostly stable. Please report bugs in the comment section of this blog post. Thank you.

What's This?

I'm glad you asked. My Minecraft Portable Launcher Add-on (MCPLA for short) is a Windows desktop application designed to run Minecraft from portable media like a flash drive or external hard drive while saving all of the .minecraft files on that portable media. This means you can move all of your Minecraft files with you from computer to computer without leaving any files behind. Not only does Minecraft become portable, MCPLA works with the PortableApps.com jPortable (a portable version of Java). It does all that and more, and it's free to use. There are just a few simple rules to follow.

1. Do not reverse engineer my code.
2. Do not redistribute my code or the files without permission.
3. Do not claim my code as your own.

I am not associated with Mojang, Microsoft or PortableApps.com. I am not using or redistributing their code simply adding new "features" to the Minecraft launcher. These "features" do not modify the vanilla launcher in any way.
